Cashwize is a local-first personal finance app designed to help you track spending, manage assets, understand insights, and build better money habits — while keeping your data private and under your control.
We believe your financial data is deeply personal. That’s why Cashwize does not collect, store, or share any of your financial content on our servers.
2. Data Collection
Cashwize does not collect any personal data.
Specifically, we do not:
- Collect names, emails, phone numbers, or contact information
- Store your financial data (assets, transactions, transfers, categories, or notes) on external servers
- Use advertising SDKs or data brokers
All financial content you enter stays on your device.
Anonymous Usage Analytics
To improve the app experience, Cashwize uses Firebase Analytics (provided by Google) to collect anonymous, aggregated usage data. This helps us understand which features are most used and where we can improve.
Examples of data collected include:
- Feature usage patterns (e.g., which screens are visited, actions taken)
- Onboarding flow progression
- General interaction events (e.g., transaction added, asset created)
This data is anonymous — it does not include your name, email, financial amounts, transaction details, or any personal content. No data that could identify you personally is ever collected or transmitted.
Firebase Analytics may also collect certain technical data automatically, such as device model, OS version, and app version. For more details, see Google’s Privacy Policy.
3. Data Storage
All information — including assets, transactions, transfers, insights, goals, and settings — is stored locally on your device using Apple’s system storage.
Cashwize does not use CloudKit or any proprietary backend for syncing data.
If you choose to refresh exchange rates, the app fetches public currency data from a third-party API.
No personal data is sent with this request.
4. Third-Party Services
Cashwize keeps third-party usage to a minimum.

Exchange Rate API When you manually refresh exchange rates, Cashwize connects to a public currency API to retrieve rate data. No personal, financial, or identifying information is transmitted.

Apple System Services Features such as notifications are handled entirely through Apple’s privacy-protected system APIs.
Cashwize does not use:
- Advertising networks
- Tracking or profiling services
- Data brokers
5. Your Control
You are always in full control of your data.
- You can delete all your data by deleting the app from your device.
- You can manually edit or remove individual assets, transactions, and settings at any time.
Since Cashwize does not store data externally, we cannot access, view, or recover your data.
6. Children’s Privacy
Cashwize is suitable for a general audience and does not knowingly collect any data from children.
Because all data is stored locally and never transmitted to our servers, no personal information is shared.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect improvements, new features, or legal requirements.
